Hare Krishna! Welcome to the University of Kent Krishna Consciousness Society.

Why not like our facebook page for more news, updates and inspiration for your your spiritual journey!

Krishna Consciousness (also known as bhakti yoga) is said by saints, sages and enlightened souls from all ages and traditions to be the natural state of consciousness of all living beings.

What’s more, returning to our original consciousness through musical mantra meditation, spiritual food and the universal philosophy of yoga can reignite the dormant and blissful loving propensities that lie in the hearts of everyone and bring about permanent and substantial change in a troubled world!

So with this in mind we will be meeting every Monday from 6pm – 8pm in Keynes seminar room 5 (KS5) to explore the ecstatic science of self-realisation as it has been taught by enlightened spiritual masters for thousands of years.

Prasadam (delicious, spiritual food) will be served in the foyer downstairs at Keynes at the end of each program.

Members of the society will be going on day trips to temples and festivals and will have access to our yearly retreat at various locations across the U.K. and Europe (this year we visited our farm community and cow protection program in sunny Spain!)

Membership fees contribute to the costs of running the society and membership can be bought for just £5 here.

The revolutionary practice of bhakti yoga is completely non-sectarian, so whatever your religious, spiritual, economic, political or cultural background, please feel free to join us and benefit from this sublime spiritual practise by chanting:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare,
Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare!

Thank you!

From Jasmine, Ian, Manish, Mantra and Hema at UKC KC soc

He has a deep melodious voice, constant singing the glories of Sri Krishna and carries a red stick with benedictions for the devotees, but feared by the demoniac. He has the carefree mood of a wild avadhuta, so absorbed is He in the love of Godhead, and no one knows what He will do next.” Come and celebrate the ecstatic appearance of the most magnanimous of all divine incarnations with us today in Keynes Seminar Room 14, University of Kent @ 6pm and dive into an unlimited ocean of nectar FOREVER. This forgetfulness was so overwhelming that Advaita Prabhu was convinced that no one but Lord Krishna Himself could enlighten people about devotional service to the Supreme Lord. Therefore Advaita requested Lord Krishna to appear as Lord Caitanya. Offering tulasi leaves and Ganges water, He cried for the Lord’s appearance. The Lord, being satisfied by His pure devotees, descends to satisfy them. As such, being pleased by Advaita acharya, Lord Caitanya appeared.” – Introduction to Caitanya Caritamrta Adi Lila Chapter 3. 🙇🏽 #harekrishna #canterbury #kent #kirtan #mantra #meditation #igerskent #igerscanterbury #inspiration #music #bhagavadgita #spirituality #spiritual #krishna #consciousness #yoga #love #family #friendship #philosophy #iskcon #prabhupada #gauranga #advaita #acharya #advaitaacarya
